Friday Night Lights is a natural part of life for all those who call themselves Texans. Watching boys play football is not the only reason why Friday nights are so important to us. It’s the friends in the stands, yes the social aspect of the game. We have had season tickets for 22 years and so have all the friends who surround us. Socializing as we cheer our team to victory like just like we did as children and young adults.

Going back to fond memories of Friday nights in the 1960s and 1970s at Eagle Stadium I can still see the familiar faces sitting in the same seats week in and week out. The sounds of WA Hughes shouting “fumble” at the opponents, Lou Ida ringing her cow bell, and Jimmy Don Tucker standing near the band and relishing every note they played.

To me this is Friday Night Lights!
